Rate Variances: We insure that every package shipped has the correct base rate and tier based incentive as well as any accessorial charge concessions. If your fees are not 100% compliant with your negotiated agreement, we get you your money back.
Duplicate Charges: We have uncovered many instances where a client has been charged more than once for a shipment or an entire invoice where we garnered a substantial refund.
Accessorial Charges Review: Up to 35% of your shipping costs can be "Accessorial Charges". Over the last several years, accessorial costs have increased at 10 times the rate of the published base rates. Carriers understand that most shippers are highly aware of increases to the base rates, but lack the knowledge, time and resources to accurately quantify the affect of new and increased accessorial charges; ex:
Residential Adjustments, Dimensional Weight, Address Corrections, Delivery Area Surcharges, fuel Surcharge etc. This has allowed carriers to add new charges and increase their margins at a staggering pace. LJM will insure that you are being billed correctly for these additional fees.
Guaranteed Service Refunds (Late Delivery): Every Package that leaves your facility, whether it shipped Ground, 2nd day, Next day, 3-day select, or International has a
guaranteed delivery time. Over $2 Billion go uncollected yearly because shippers do not have the time, resources or technology to collect these refunds. LJM recovers 2% - 4% of our client's parcel expenses for
packages delivered late. If a parcel is late with no valid exception given by the carrier (weather, etc) LJM will claim the refund.
Manifested Not Shipped Services (MNS): Carriers sometimes charge customers for packages that were never shipped, such as a cancelled delivery or an order consolidation. Our invoice audits will identify these charges and recover your overpayments.
Lost and Damaged Claims Filing: We take the headache out of filing for lost packages. LJM tracks every parcel and identifies packages that were never scanned or delivered; we submit tracers to the carriers and process the claim documents on behalf of our clients. LJM secures carrier refunds for the insured value of the merchandise or up to $100 for uninsured packages, plus shipping charges (additional insurance is not necessary to recover these refunds). This simplifies a tedious manual claims process and provides full visibility to customer while assuring no valid claim is missed.
